ORION CITY-7
Designed as an up-to-date machine for town and
country, based on touring bike geometry. The lightweight double-butted
aluminium frame, combined with a springy cro-moly fork and slightly wider
tyres, results in a responsive yet comfortable ride. The sloping top-tube
design allows a suspension seatpost to be accommodated, and an open (womens)
frame is also available. We have taken a lot of trouble to source and
fit components that make this the best commuting machine yet made. The
700x37c Schwalbe Marathon slick tyres are tough and puncture-resistant,
while the wheels are strong enough for tandem use. Lighting is supplied
by the Shimano dynamo hub, with lights that stay on when you stop. Wheels
and seat are theft-proof, as the Orion is fitted with Pitlock® security skewers. Although fully equipped with rack, mudguards and
lighting, the Orion City 7 still weighs under 32lbs, giving good acceleration.
